Way Kambas National Park (TNWK) whose location is at the southern tip of Sumatra island, located about 110 km from the center of Bandar Lampung. This place is one of the oldest nature reserves in Indonesia and occupies a land area of about 1,300 sq km and a coastal lowland forest around the Way Kambas River region, the east coast of Lampung.
Facilities at Way Kambas National Park
The main facility, located near tourist attractions TNWK located about 500 meters from the entrance. This place is called by the name of Elephant Eco Lodge. Namely the walled garden is overgrown trees tropical fruits.

Here you can also find an open restaurant that provides quite a lot of Indonesian food menu and also menyediakan breakfast with western food menu for starting the activity in your day.
Accommodation provided here is simple but very decent and clean, equipped with mosquito nets. Here you will find shops and food stalls so very important for you who come here bring their own food.
There is a shop in elephant training but will only be open during the day so it would be better if you bring your own dinner. Here you can find a market in the Old Rajabasa that you can use to buy goods such as buying coffee, noodles and canned food at the store entrance Plang Green.
Resort
Is the only resort in the Way Kambas National Park area is much visited a wide variety of backgrounds, ranging from local to international travelers, to researchers who come from around the world.
Way Kambas not just be a home for Sumatran elephants, will but also various types of flora and fauna are often the object of research scientists and biologists.
With room rates Rp 200ribu each room, the resort also provides a tour along the river using a motorized boat transport a maximum capacity of 6-7 people, with prices ranging from Rp 750rb up to Rp 1.5 jt.
Tips Sign in Way Kambas National Park
Entry to TNWK you can get at the entrance of the park and also from the conservation at the headquarters in Bandar Lampung (Natural Resources Conservation Agency 11). The office is located about half a kilometer from the bus terminal if Rajabasa Lama, it's located on the left side and in front of a statue of an elephant. Officers here will be happy to assist you on the Way Kambas information.
Do hope you can ask the guards to take you to get to the outskirts of the park, because it is not allowed. If you want to be patient and not make a fuss maybe you could get lucky and be able to see some wild animals that are here, most likely as a wild elephant.
Transport to the Way Kambas National Park
If you want to use public transport then the simplest way to use the bus from Terminal Raja Basa in Bandar Lampung to the direction of Way Jepara. Then it could go down in Batu Gajah, Village Rajabasa Lama, Once on the Way Jepara you can continue the journey by motorcycle taxi ride to the Way Kanan or the Elephant Training Center (PLG), which is the entrance to TNWK.
You need to know that the last bus will depart from Old Rajabasa was around 15:00 pm and will be much better if you arrive before dusk, as a motorcycle taxi driver will not be willing to take you after the dusk.
Other alternatives of Bandar Lampung you can take a bus heading toward the Metro and then take a bus going towards Rajabasa Lama.
Jida you come up with using your own car or a rental car from Bandar Lampung then can take the route of the Earth's north and follow the route indicated by markings pictures of elephants to be able to get TNWK. You can also use it from Bandar Lampung to get to Way Kambas but it is much more expensive.
